The Fritz-Stutzke Cup 2026 takes place on Thursdays from 29 October to 26 November 2026 at the Schach-Club Kreuzberg House of Sports in Berlin. The open cup uses a knockout format with an optional loser group, 90 minutes plus 30 seconds per move and DWZ rating evaluation.

A draw is first decided by a playoff with two rapid games.
A further tie is decided by an Armageddon blitz game.
Eliminated players may optionally continue in a loser group until another loss.
The Lucky Loser rule is used in round 1 to reach the required field size; the draw decides who advances.
The default waiting time is 30 minutes.
Mobile phones are prohibited in the playing hall.
The event will not take place with fewer than eight registrations. The announcement specifies prizes for 25 players and says they will be adjusted to the actual number of participants.
